There is a story that has surfaced out of France that Osama Bin Laden has died of Typhoid. The French newspaper L'Est Republicain posted this earlier today. There are several follow-up reports that this is not true information and that he is alive and well.

The reason we mention this is that his death (or imminent death) has been used in the past in widespread email campaigns to get end-users to visit websites and install malicious code.
We have no evidence this has happened yes but, with the recent I.E. "zero-day" surfacing there is a chance that malicious code authors jump on the "Osama Bin Laden has died" bandwagon and publish another SPAM campaign to attract users to a website that is hosting malicious code and infects users without end-user interaction.
So, dont visit URL's through email for your favorite NEWS story.
