Threat Type: Phishing Alert
Websense® Security Labs™ has received reports of a new phishing attack that targets customers of White House Federal Credit Union.
Users receive a spoofed email message claiming that their account information must be updated within 48 hours. Upon accessing the fraudulent website, users are asked to enter their credit union login/password, ATM card information and Social Security number.
This phishing site is hosted in Argentina and was up at the time of this alert.
The text of the Phishing email is as follows:
Dear Customer,
It has come to our attention that your account information needs to be updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to keep your information private.
If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run in any future problems with the online service.

If your account information is not updated within 48 hours then your ability to use your online account will become restricted.
