Websense® Security Labs™ ThreatSeeker™ Network has detected that the official Web site of the Singapore Foreign Exchange Market has been compromised and injected with malicious code. The injected code is an iframe redirector to a source that drops a malicious file. This file has an 18% anti-virus detection rate at time of writing.
The Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committeee aims to foster growth of the Singapore financial market as a leading international center for transactions in foreign exchange, money market, fixed income, and derivatives instruments. The Committee also works closely with the Association of Banks in Singapore, the Singapore Investment Banking Association, the Singapore Money Brokers Association, ACI Singapore – The Financial Markets Association, and committees of similar nature, locally and globally, involved in financial markets.
