Threat Type: Phishing Alert

Websense® Security Labs™ has received reports of a phishing attack that targets customers of SAFE Federal Credit Union. Users receive a spoofed email message, claiming that they need to verify their billing information. The email provides a link to a phishing site that attempts to collect user account information.

This phishing site is hosted in the United States and was down at the time of this alert.

Phishing email text:

This e-mail was sent to you because we have detected a slight error in your billing information on file with SAFE Federal Credit Union SAFENET account during our regular schedule account maintenance and verification.
